Amy and Patrick’s Dingle, Ireland Wedding was a special one indeed. It was a day filled with unmanageable joy, of laughs and love shared. The pair started out getting ready at the Ballintaggart House on that foggy morning. We then drove a few miles down the coast to a small beach where the couple shared their first look, one of our favorites to date! After that, we went to St. Mary’s Catholic Church, a breathtaking church that further solidified the melancholic beauty of the day.

After Amy and Patrick said “I do,” we all blissfully made our way to the infamous Dick Mack’s. It’s a warm little pub full of laughs, ales and live music. They’ve been serving up liquid refreshments since 1899, and rightfully so – they’re a definite staple in the Dingle community. Once we’d shared a few beers, we all proceeded back to the Ballintaggart House for a reception filled with more laughs, more drinks, and lots and lots of dancing.

This entire day was magical and euphoric in a way that only an Irish wedding could be. And yet, there was also a subtle layer of melancholy emanating from the soft, somber beauty of the landscape surrounding us. Some people see fog, mist and rain as a bad thing for wedding days. To us, however, they’re testament to why inclement weather can turn a wedding into an unforgettable beauty such as this. If you can weather the storm on your wedding day, rest assured that anything you come across in life together can be weathered, too. There could only be good omens here.
